Step 3
Cover pot and cook, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender and lightly browned, around 1 hour. Cut off the skin from the ham hock and discard it and the bone. Cut the meat into chunks and return to the cabbage. Taste and add more all-purpose seasoning if you like.
