Export 5 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
Open your can of Spam and slice it to create patties. Slice along the tops so the patties are rectangular shape. You should end up with at least 8 slices. 12 if you’re stingy!
Step 2
In a small bowl, mix the sugar, soy sauce, and mirin. Try to make sure all the sugar is dissolved. You can heat the liquid to help. Adjust the three ingredients to taste.
Step 3
With a little bit of oil, begin heating a saucepan on the stove over medium heat. Drop slices of Spam into the mixture then lay them in the pan.
Step 4
Fry on both sides until a golden brown crust has formed because of the sugar caramelizing. Repeat until all slices of Spam are fried to your preference.
Step 5
On a cutting board or work surface lay one half sheet of nori. Place your rectangular musubi mold in the middle and place one slice of Spam and then any other fun ingredients you might have made. I added some scrambled egg. Add in the cooked rice and press through the mold. Wrap up the contents using one or two grains of rice to “seal” the nori wrapping
Step 6
Enjoy!
