Spinach, Peanut Butter & Banana Smoothie

plain kefir

banana

honey

Add kefir, peanut butter, spinach, banana and honey (if using) to a blender. Blend until smooth.


I was skeptical about the kefir, as I've never tried it before. I used natural peanut butter and 1 tbsp local raw honey and I was surprised how tasty it was! I've added it to my smoothie rotation.

Delicious, smooth, cold (from frozen bananas) and healthy. Perfect, easy little smoothie. Didn’t use the optional one tablespoon of honey and was just fine, note that my frozen bananas were past ripe so that probably made it sweeter. The two star review used two tablespoons of honey and complained that it was too sweet. Lol.

Did not really like it. I do not know if that was because of the spinach or the kefir but it tasted weird. Also two tbsp of honey was definitely too much as you already got the natural sweetness of bananas.Would give another try but without spinach and/or kefir.

Love this recipe, very  versatile. Instead of kefir I have used almond milk or coconut milk and sometimes with spinach other times not. I have also added greek vanilla yogurt . Yummy everytime!
