Whiz herbs, pinenuts and lemon juice in a processor, then gradually blend in oil. Check seasoning.

Bring a large pan of lightly salted water to the boil. Add veg and simmer for 4-8min, depending on size, until tender. Drain and toss with 1-2tbsp pesto.
