Fill a mixing glass or cocktail shaker with ice. Add the gin, vermouth and Campari. Stir until chilled, then strain into an ice-filled Old-Fashioned glass. Squeeze the orange peel over surface of the drink to express its oils. Dab the peel around the inside of the glass, then place the peel into the glass vertically and serve.
