Step 1
Slice the strawberries and place them in a medium saucepan along with the lemon juice, water and sugar and stir together until combined.
Step 2
Bring the sauce to a boil, stirring occasionally then turn the heat down and simmer for 5-10 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken.
Step 3
Remove from heat and allow the strawberry sauce to cool to room temperature.
