Step 1

Set the oven rack to second-lowest position and preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2

Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan or two 8-inch round pans and set aside.

Step 3

With an electric mixer on low speed, beat all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl for approximately 30 seconds. Increase to medium speed and continue beating for 2 minutes more.

Step 4

Pour and spread the batter evenly in prepared cake pan(s) (Batter will be quite thick).

Step 5

Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick entered in the center of the cake comes out clean.
