Step 1
Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl until everything is well mixed. Form the mixture into 1 and a 1/2-inch diameter balls.

In a large nonstick skillet, cook the meatballs over medium heat until they are browned evenly and fully cooked through.

In a medium bowl, stir together the brown sugar, water, ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce, and cornstarch until smooth.

Pour the sauce over the cooked meatballs in the skillet, then reduce the heat to low.
