Step 1
In a pot, add the bell peppers, sugar, vinegar, and water, and heat on medium heat. Simmer for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Optionally, at the end you can mash everything together for a less chunky texture.
Step 3
To can the jam, boil the glass containers 30 minutes, and then let them completely drain on a clean drainboard.
Step 4
Ladle the jam into the glasses, and add them back into the boiling water another 30 minutes making sure the water does not cover the top.
Step 5
Remove from water, add the lid, and place them upside down to cool.
