Ingredients: 2 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 2" pieces; 1 c. all-purpose flour; 2 c. panko bread crumbs; 3 large eggs; Kosher salt; Freshly ground black pepper; 1 c. barbecue sauce; 1/2 c. packed brown sugar; Juice of 2 limes; 1 tsp. garlic powder; 8 Small flour tortillas; 1/2 head green cabbage; 1/4 c. Ranch dressing, for drizzling; 2 tbsp. Freshly chopped cilantro, for garnish

Sweet BBQ Lime Chicken Tacos

lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 2" pieces

c. all-purpose flour

c. panko bread crumbs

eggs

Kosher salt

black pepper

barbecue sauce

brown sugar

Juice of 2 limes

garlic powder

flour tortillas

green cabbage

c. Ranch dressing, for drizzling

tbsp. Freshly chopped cilantro, for garnish

These are great, with an adjustment. I saw the ratio and ditched it right away, you don’t need sugar! 1/3 cup BBQ sauce and 2/3 cup franks buffalo and it’s spot on!

Um this is basically glorified barbecue chicken nuggets In a tortilla. I was really disappointed. It’s not the right flavor combo. Next time I’d ditch the barbecue sauce and do like a chipotle sauce with some sliced avocado.

Hubby and I loved them . I did tweak it to what I know we like and by that I mean , I just used sweet baby rays sweet & spicy sauce for zing , I didn’t have lime so put dash of white vinegar in it. I don’t like cilantro so skipped that . Served with tortillas and salsa con queso sauce

Loved it! Drizzled the BBQ instead of putting all over chicken. Made a cilantro Mexican slaw to put on top. AMAZING!

I love this recipe so much!  I’ve made them about 8 times - so easy and delicious.  You wouldn’t think bbq would go with a taco, but the combo with cilantro and sour cream - and I add a little green pepper sauce Tabasco on the side.  So amazing!  I highly recommend.

It's BBQ nuggets with ranch. Bored and tried it. I guess it would be fine for a 5 yr old. Adults... not so bueno.

The first time I made these exactly as written and the flavor was amazing but the sauce was a bit too much. The next time we made as directed but drizzled sauce over chicken. Omg all the different flavors just explode in your mouth! This is a new favorite in our household and I'll be serving these to company often. Yum!!
*Sidenote* Cooking the chicken in my air fryer simplifies and also makes it extra crispy and super juicy.

The chicken baked was fine. But the sauce was way too sweet. Puzzled, why add brown sugar to barbecue sauce? I think it needed some spice for a kick. Easy to make, presentation nice, but overly sweet for us.

These were nasty. No one in the house would eat it. Not even our roommate we call the "garbage disposal" (because he will eat anything) would touch them after trying it.

These are amazing! My husband adores them so this is my third time making them. Super easy and the portion makes a ton so there are always lots left over. Very yummy and fun recipe!

We love them in this house.  They are Delish!
