Step 1
Season flour with salt and pepper then coat chicken.
Step 2
Melt butter in large frying pan over a medium heat. Add garlic and chicken and cook for 2-3 minutes each side or until golden.
Step 3
Add wine and bring to the boil. Reduce heat to medium/low and simmer covered, for 15 - 20 minutes until chicken is cooked.
Step 4
Remove chicken to a heat-proof dish and place a slice of ham and cheese on top of each piece.
Step 5
Bake at 180C for 10 minutes.
Step 6
Boil remaining mixture in frying pan until it reduces by half.
Step 7
Decrease heat, add mustard, cream and onions and cook for 3 minutes. Place chicken on plate and spoon over sauce to serve.
