Step 1

FIRST STEP:Using an electric hand mixer, combine the butter and granulated sugar, beat well

Add in the egg and vanilla and beat on low until incorporated

Add in the baking soda, salt, nutmeg and flour a little at a time

Be sure it is mixed thoroughly

SECOND STEP:Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes

After 30 minutes, preheat the oven to 325*

Place a sheet of parchment paper on two baking sheets

Use a small cookie scoop and scoop up a small amount of dough

Roll the dough in your hand until it forms a ball

Place each one on a cookie tray with space between

Lightly flatten each cookie out using the bottom of a mug or cup

THIRD STEP:Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, just until the edges begin to become golden brown
