Texas Sheet Cake Cookies

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, add the chocolate cake mix, the eggs, and the oil and mix until it is well-combined. It will be very thick.

Use a medium-sized cookie scoop or spoon to evenly scoop the cookie dough onto the prepared cookie sheet.

Bake the cookies until they are golden-brown around the edges and slightly darker in the center, about 7-8 minutes.

Transfer the baking sheet to a wire rack and let the cookies cool, about 4-5 minutes.

Transfer the cookies to the wire rack and let them cool completely.

Repeat the baking and cooling process until all of the remaining cookie dough has been used.

While the cookies are cooling, in a small saucepan over medium heat, add the butter, the cocoa, and the milk and whisk until it is melted.

Transfer the saucepan from the heat and add the confectioners' sugar. Whisk until it is smooth.

Step 11

Evenly pour the frosting over the cookies, then use a knife or spoon to spread the excess frosting around each cookie to completely cover them.

Let the cookies sit until the frosting is set.

Serve.
