Step 1

Skin and core pineapple, set aside.

Step 2

In a blender, mix lemon juice, sugar, and water. Give it a couple quick pulses to dissolve sugar.

Step 3

Add pineapple and blend till smooth.

Step 4

Sieve mixture and return to blender.

Step 5

Add in basil and pulse a few times to chop up the basil.

Step 6

In batches mix the pineapple basil lemonade, ice, and gin. Shake till cold. Strain into cold glasses.

Step 7

Serve immediately.
