Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well and shape the mixture into 4 patties.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for about 4–5 minutes per side, or until they are browned and cooked through. Remove the patties from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the thinly sliced onions and cook over medium heat for 4–5 minutes, or until the onions are softened and beginning to caramelize.
Step 4
Sprinkle the flour over the onions and stir well to combine. Cook for 1–2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
Step 5
Gradually add the beef broth, stirring constantly, to create a smooth gravy. Stir in the cooking sherry and seasoned salt.
Step 6
Return the patties to the skillet and simmer for 5–7 minutes, or until the gravy has thickened and the patties are heated through.
Step 7
Serve the hamburger steaks topped with the onion gravy. Enjoy!
