Toffee Brownie Trifle

fudge brownie mix (13x9-in. pan size)

whole milk

(3.4 ounces) instant cheesecake

chocolate pudding mix

carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed

This recipe is great using chocolate cake or brownies crumbled and a few T of kahlua sprinkled over each layer.

How far ahead can you make this? Is it okay to make the night before it is served?

I made this for a baby shower and it was a huge hit!  I put chocolate chunks in the brownies, layered toffee bits on both pudding layers and lined the top with hershey's kisses.  divine!

I made only one addition to the recipe.  I swirled some caramel topping over the brownie layers before putting on the pudding layer.  It is a wonderful dessert and I love serving it to family and friends.

I have made this for years and it is always a family fav.  My children always request and now the cousins do too. I use a cheesecake and vanilla pudding instead of the chocolate. Decadent and easy!

I made this recipe using all chocolate pudding and iy was a hit.

This dessert is super sweet - too sweet for my family's tastes. I used white choc and cheesecake pudding mixes. I brought it to a Thanksgiving potluck and brought most of it home. It would be better to serve it after a lighter meal. I like a previous poster's suggestion of sprinkling Kahlua over the cut brownies - it might help cut the sweetness a bit.It was very easy to put together, and it feeds a lot, so it's good for potlucks. Personally, I like it better the next day, but the brownies do absorb some of the moisture and get soft. I used Heath chips from the baking aisle. Sprinkle the chips on top just before serving, as they start to melt on the pudding layer after a while.

Made this to carry to a family gathering that got cancelled. Carried it to work and still had friends over for dessert. It was a hit both places.

To make this an "adult" treat, poor a bit of kahlua on the brownies.  Yum!

I made this and it was a big hit at a party i attended.  I was unable to find the white chocolate pudding at my store, so i just did 2 boxes of the cheesecake pudding and it came out fine.  Came home with an empty dish!

I should have read reviews before adding my 2 cents. lol

This has been a family favorite for years.  My 24 year old son requests this for his birthday dessert every year.  It's always a hit!!!!!

It is the best with the white chocolate and cheesecake puddings together.  Everyone asks me what the white layer is.  I have also used snickers and peanut butter cups for the candy.

I used sugar free pudding in this, no one can tell the difference.  Totally awesome!!  Most people love brownies!!  We do!
