Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
Step 2
Unroll crusts on a lightly floured surface. Cut 8 hearts from each crust using a 3-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter for a total of 16 hearts. Brush edges of 8 hearts with water; place 1 rounded teaspoon cherry pie filling in the center of each. Top with remaining 8 hearts. Crimp edges with fork.
Step 3
Place on prepared baking sheet. Make a 1/2-inch slit in top right corner of each heart. Lightly brush hearts with beaten egg. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven; cool completely on wire rack.
Step 4
If desired, break apart Kit Kats. Cut each stick in half; insert 1 pice into each pastry slit.
