Step 1

If using extra firm tofu, press for at least 30 minutes. If using super firm tofu, pat it dry.

Step 2

Prepare gyro seasoning: Combine all gyro seasoning ingredients in a small bowl. Set aside.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, mix the veg bouillon, soy sauce, maple syrup, smoked paprika, garlic powder, bbq sauce, chili saucem olive oil, water, and gyro seasoning to make the marinade.

Step 4

Heat a pan to medium and fry the tofu until golden brown, about 8 to 10 minutes.

Step 5

Add the marinade to the pan slowly, stirring to rehydrate the tofu and give it flavor.

Step 6

Your tofu gyro is ready! Serve in a pita with tomatoes, marinated onions, tzatziki, and fries.
