Preheat the oven to 400°F

Grease an 8-by-8-inch baking dish with vegetable oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat

Add the sausage and saute, stirring occasionally, until brown, about 5 minutes

Add the onion and celery and saute, stirring occasionally, until almost soft, 3 to 5 minutes

Set aside

In a large bowl, mix together the cornbread, parsley, sage and thyme

Stir in the sausage mixture and just enough of the broth to lightly moisten the cornbread
