Veggie Ranch Tortilla Pinwheels

each) cream cheese, softened

ranch salad dressing mix

green onions, chopped

(4 ounces) chopped green chiles, drained

(3.8 ounces) sliced ripe olives, drained

celery rib, chopped

sweet red pepper

bacon bits

flour tortillas (10 inches)

In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and dressing mix until blended. Beat in the onions, green chiles, olives, celery, red pepper and bacon. Spread over tortillas. Roll up. Cut each into 1-in. slices. Refrigerate leftovers.

<p>These are fun and simple to make, and incredibly versatile! I made them for a Christmas party, so I used a little extra red bell pepper, and added green bell pepper for holiday colors. I also used mild Rotel in place of canned green chilis, and used a half packet of spicy and buttermilk ranch each. Finally, I added baby spinach leaves and pepperoni.</p>

I switched this up a little by eliminating the red pepper and bacon bits, substituting chopped pimientos and real bacon cooked on the stove.  I also used half the ranch packet based on other reviews and refrigerated them overnight before slicing.  That refrigerating really gave the flavors time to meld and the filling was, to me better for it.  I made them for a work pot-luck, and they were gone in 15 minutes!  Definitely a hit!

I made these yesterday to try them out for Superbowl Sunday on Feb 5th. They were a hit and disappeared immediately. I am doubling the recipe for game day...

Have made appetizers like this for years but these were extra good.  I think it was the bacon bits and the green chiles.  They were very good.

They totally disappeared! I waited until theywere cooled in the refrigerator before tryingto cut them.

I made these when I had a few friends over. They were a hit. I served them with a vegetable and fruit tray, and of course cocktails.

RENEEKLEIN is right on the money. This recipe needs CHEESE!!!! I think I'll try pepperjack.

Recipe is simple and tastes good.  When I make this again, and I will, I will add less of the ranch dressing.  It was a little overpowering.  Also, I am going to add thin sliced of proscuitto to each tortilla after adding the cream cheese mixture and before rolling.  I think that would be great combination.

These are fantastic-kids like them too.  I use 1 light (Neufchatel) cream cheese and 1 cup light sour cream.

Omitted the bacon bits and they were still awesome. Definitely will make again!

Theses are delicious and disappear rapidly. The only change I made was to cook my own bacon, drain and break it up. Sometimes bacon bits have hard little bits I find off putting.

You can also change this up a little... same idea using taco seasoning instead of ranch with shredded cheese, olives and red peppers. I add a side of salsa...

I absolutely love these.  A tad labor-intensive, but well-worth it!  I always leave out the green chilies (personal preference), and they're always good.

Easy, awesome flavor, and pretty, a real crowd pleaser, make quite a few for little cost.

I love appetizers like this.  These roll ups are very tasty.  I chopped up turkey bacon and cooked it, adding it to the rolls instead of bacon bits.  Very good!!  I think this recipe would be easy to add and take away from, adding a different type of pepper, or even adding some deli meat.  Highly recommend, I could not stop eating them as I was making them!!

This recipe was missing something for me. I found them rather bland and off putting. If I make them again I think I'll put on a  layer of smoked turkey or maybe some crab meat and SALT!!

Simply,easy to change also good with dried beef and add velvetta cheese !

These are very good. I made them for my sisters party. Her and my niece are vegetarians so I omitted the bacon. I also added shredded cheddar cheese.
