Ingredients: 4 cups seedless watermelon chunks; 1/2 cup sugar; Juice of 1 lemon

Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Puree until smooth. Pour into a shallow, wide pan and freeze for 1 hour. Rake mixture with fork and freeze for another hour. Rake and freeze for one more hour. Rake and serve in cups.

So easy and delightful and pretty! For added twist, I made a mint simple syrup! Try it! 

Love this recipe! We used lime instead of lemon and added a little fresh mint for extra zing.. 

I made this recipe into Popsicles, my children love it! 

Thanks to another poster for the suggestion of mint! I used less sugar, mostly lime juice instead of lemon (had to use some lemon because I ran out of lime), and picked some mint (out of all the herbs I've planted, I'm enjoying the mint the most!) to add. I pulsed this all up in my Ninja (out of all the small kitchen appliances I've purchased, I'm enjoying my Ninja the most LOL), and stuck it in the freezer. It came out delicious, and I do think the mint was a great addition.

Great recipe.  A friend of mine makes this almost everytime we're there for dinner and she adds freshly chopped mint leaf to it and it makes a WORLD of difference.  It's the same mint leaf that Persians use in tea ans is often referred to as nanna.  You can always try adding a little afterwards in case you don't like it but trust me just adds that perfect kick of freshness to a very sweet dessert.

THis recipe turned out great. I did not use sugar bc I thought it would make it too sweet. The watermelon was already sweet. One thing I should have done was strain the watermelon puree to remove the white seeds--makes a better presentation.  It was good! 

I've never commented before but I use a few websites for recipes and depend on the comments of people who have tried the recipes---the comments on this one were all over the place. One said it was easy and great, one said it was terrible...one said it was a good drink???!!!!   I am the chef/owner of a small cafe that is two years old but my training is in archaeology...I'm not so confident yet!<br /><br />I followed the recipe but substituted the lemon juice for lime and added 1/2 cup of water---I think lemon would shout over the watermelon.  it was extremely easy, it was delicious, and it froze up perfectly.  I've made much more complicated granita recipes with the identical end result.  I'll use this recipe with other fruits anytime I ever want to make granita again.
