Step 1
For stovetop weed popcorn, add 1 tablespoon of oil in a medium-sized pan. If you’re making it in a popcorn maker, you can skip this step.
Step 2
To test if the pan is hot enough and ready, carefully place several kernels in the oil. When those kernels have popped, you can add the rest of the popcorn.
Step 3
To avoid overcrowding and burning, only add enough kernels to form a single layer on the bottom of the pan.
Step 4
Cover the pan with a well-fitting lid. When you hear popping, gently move the pan back and forth over the burner.
Step 5
When the popping slows down significantly, remove the pan from the heat and let it sit for a minute until it cools.
Step 6
Pour the cooked weed-infused popcorn in a large bowl before setting it aside.
Step 7
Place the same pan on the stove over low-medium heat.
Step 8
Add your desired amount of cannabutter and regular butter. You can leave out the regular butter if you prefer a stronger effect.
Step 9
Once the butter is melted, remove the pan from the heat, and slowly pour over the cooked popcorn. Stir the kernels to coat evenly.
Step 10
Salt and season your cannabutter popcorn to taste and enjoy!
