White Chocolate Texas Sheet Cake

Step 1

Melt butter in sauce pan over low to medium heat.

Step 2

Combine flour and granulated sugar and add to melted butter.

Step 3

Add half-and-half and white chocolate.

Step 4

Stir in thoroughly.

Step 5

Let mixture come to a boil in saucepan over medium heat.

Step 6

Remove from heat.

Step 7

Let cool 15 minutes.

Step 8

Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk.

Step 9

The mixture will expand and foam.

Step 10

Add to white chocolate mixture with eggs and vanilla.

Step 11

Mix all together and pour into greased 11x17” jelly roll pan.

Step 12

Bake at 400° for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Step 13

Mine took 30 minutes.

Step 14

Allow cake to cool completely before adding icing.

Step 15

Bring white chocolate, half-and-half and butter to a boil in saucepan at low to medium heat.

Step 16

Remove from heat.

Step 17

Add powdered sugar, nuts and vanilla and combine well.

Step 18

Spread icing over cooled cake.

Step 19

Be sure to spread the nuts evenly over the cake.
