Step 1
Place 2 cups of wild rice in a strainer and rinse under cold water
Step 2
Place the rinsed wild rice in an Instant Pot and add 4 cups of water and 1/4 tsp. kosher salt. Stir until combined.
Step 3
Plug the Instant Pot in and place the lid on top making sure it is sealed correctly and that the valve is in the sealed position.
Step 4
Once the lid is on correctly hit the 'Manual' button and set the timer for 30 minutes. Allow the Instant Pot to pressurize, cook for 30 minutes, and then natural steam release for 10-15 minutes. Feel free to move the valve to the venting position to release any additional steam.Turn the Instant Pot off and unplug it when finished.
Step 5
Fluff the wild rice with a fork and allow to sit for a minute or two to absorb any extra water. Serve right away in your favorite recipes or freeze until needed.
