Step 1
Line a 9"x13" with foil and spray with non stick cooking spray. Set aside.
Step 2
In a double boiler, bring sugar, butter and evaporated milk to a rolling boil over medium heat. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly (temp should read 234 F on a candy thermometer).
Step 3
Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and marshmallow creme. Stir until completely melted.
Step 4
Add vanilla and mix well. If you are using nuts, add them now, too.
Step 5
Pour into prepared pan and let cool completely.
Step 6
Lift foil out of pan and cut into small squares.
