In a large pot, combine pork hock, bay leaves, peppercorns, star anise, garlic and add 5 spice powder. Pour sprite and water. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 6
In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, vinegar, onion and red pepper. Season with sauce and pepper.
