Step 1
Line air fryer with parchment paper liners or spray with cooking spray.
Step 2
Butter bread slices and, using a glass, make an indent in the center of the bread. I actually made two indentations with the glass to make enough room for the egg.
Step 3
Place the bread slices into the air fryer basket.
Step 4
Crack the egg into the center of each slice of bread. It is ok if a little egg white goes beyond the indent. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top. (Add a sprinkle of shredded cheese if you’d like!)
Step 5
Air Fry at 320°F for 8 minutes for a runny yolk. If you want a little harder egg yolk you may need to add 1-2 extra minutes cooking time.
Step 6
Remove toast with a spatula and serve with sausage or bacon and a side of fresh fruit or cereal.
