Step 1

Place Parmesan in mixing bowl and grate 10 sec/speed 10.

Step 2

Add garlic (if using), pine nuts, basil, oil and salt then chop 20 sec/speed 6. Serve as a sauce or transfer to a glass jar with airtight lid (see tip), leaving approx. 5 mm gap at the top. Make sure that rim of jar is clean and close immediately then store in fridge until needed (see tip).
