Step 1
Soften the cream cheese (you can soften it in the microwave, but remove the foil wrapper!). Spread on one side of each slice of bread.

Whether using fresh or frozen blueberries, I like to warm them up in the microwave first so they are sure to get fully heated and burst when you're cooking your french toast. For fresh berries, warm them about 15 seconds in the microwave, 30 or more seconds for frozen berries. Create one layer of blueberries on one piece of the bread and then sandwich the bread together.
Step 3
In a shallow dish, whisk together the egg, cream, salt, vanilla and cinnamon. Soak the sandwich in the egg on both sides until it has soaked up all the liquid.
Step 4
Heat up a skillet to about medium heat and put the butter in. Cook the french toast until browned on the bottom, then flip until the other side is browned.
Step 5
Garnish with powdered sugar, whipped cream, fresh blueberries, and maple syrup, etc.
