Step 1

Pour all ingredients except the cardamom in a pot on low-medium heat. Cover slightly off center with a lid to let off a little steam.

Step 2

Cook until desired consistency. It will become creamy in about 30-40 minutes.**

Step 3

Before serving, stir in the cardamom and cook for 30 seconds more.

Step 4

Vata types will enjoy this with a little bit of tahini or ghee drizzled on top, with chopped nuts or ground flax seed for garnish and added fiber.
