Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 8-inch square baking dish with nonstick spray.
Step 2
Blend the chickpeas, peanut butter, maple syrup, honey, vanilla, salt, baking powder and baking soda in a food processor until smooth. Pour into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
Step 3
Sprinkle with desired amount of chocolate chips! (Or if you would like to mix some into the batter, go for it!) If you like a sweet-and-salty flavor, like I do, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top.
Step 4
Bake until golden brown around the edges, about 18 minutes.
Step 5
Let cool, then cut into 16 squares.
