Step 1
Preheat oven to 325F. Grease a 13x9 cake pan.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, mix together cake mix, 1 egg and 1/2 cup (one stick) melted butter.
Step 3
Pat cake mix into pan. Use your fingers or a flat bottom measuring cup. Set aside.
Step 4
Using the same bowl , beat cream cheese until smoother. Add eggs, the remains stick of butter (melted), vanilla extract and confectiners’s sugar.Continue beating together until all ingredients are smooth.
Step 5
Pour over the chocolate layer.
Step 6
Bake at 325F° for 45 minutes or until done. The cake should reach an internal temperature between 200F° and 210F°.
Step 7
The center should not wobble like a wave but it will look a bit gooey.
