Step 1
Place the butter, garlic, chives and parsley in a bowl. Use a fork to mash until well combined.
Step 2
Transfer mixture to a chopping board. Divide into 2 equal portions. Shape each portion into a log about 12cm long. Place in the freezer for 20 minutes or until firm.
Step 3
Cut each log into 1cm-thick slices to make 24 portions.
Step 4
Label and date a medium Ziploc freezer bag. Transfer the portions to the labeled bag. Gently press the bag to push out any air. Seal tightly.
Step 5
To serve, transfer portions to a plate. Set aside for 15 minutes or until room temperature. Serve on cooked steak or chicken, or toss through boiled potatoes or steamed vegetables.
