Chop the onions and place in the bottom of the slow cooker adding the water and vinegar.
Trim all visible fat off the pork and discard it.
Now mix the golden syrup, spices, garlic, salt and pepper together in a bowl.
Roll the pork into the spicy syrup mixture.
Place in the slow cooker on top on the onions and set the slow cooker to high, leaving for 8 hours, turning every 2 hours or so.
When your pork is cooked shred with a fork and served from the crock pot.
