Step 1

Heat a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, while crumbling, until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess liquid from the skillet.

Add the onion and the garlic salt to the beef and cook until the onion is soft.

Step 4

Add the flour to the beef mixture and cook, stirring regularly, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 5

Add the water, the cream of mushroom soup, and the mushrooms to the beef mixture and bring to a simmer.

Step 6

Reduce the heat and cook the beef mixture, stirring occasionally, about 8-10 minutes.

Step 7

Gently fold the sour cream into the beef mixture and heat until warm.

Step 8

Add the salt and the pepper to the beef mixture.

Step 9

Sprinkle the top of the beef mixture with the parsley.

Step 10

Serve the stroganoff over the rice or the noodles.
