pwrdmprJanuary 5, 2016 at 3:55 AMHappy New Year! What a pleasant surprise to open up my email and to see a glorious egg tart staring at me! Your recipe and your writing has given me inspiration to go for it! I live 5 minutes walking to a Chinese pastry shop (in SF). If I can pull this recipe off, I will be forever smirking every time I walk by the pastry shop. Hahahaha! Thank you!ReplyDeleteRepliesEllen L.January 5, 2016 at 2:07 PMHey, Happy New Year back at ya! Thanks for the comment, it made my morning! And best of luck on your Egg Tart making. ~ellenDeleteRepliesReplyReplylostJanuary 14, 2016 at 6:47 AMThank you so much for sharing all these recipes. I was born in UK, parents from HK. We ate alot of these foods and like many of your readers, these foods bring back great childhood memories. Unfortunately, alot of the stuff we had was just bought.. I didnt even think you could make it at home! Though I enjoyed eating it all the same :) In today's fast paced life it's so easy to forget to slow down and appreciate the things that take a little more time. You have inspired me to try some of these out with my own kids.. Like you, I want them to have fond memories making tong yuen, dan tarts etc :) I just hope I dun kill anyone in the process :PReplyDeleteRepliesEllen L.January 14, 2016 at 7:22 PMDear lost - So glad you enjoy our recipes and right-o about slowing down and appreciating!
