Elvis Presley'S Favorite Sandwich

Step 1

The recipe states this makes one sandwich but if you use a large banana and the 3 tablespoons of peanut butter, it makes 2 or 3 sandwiches for me. I don't like it really thick. You have to mash the banana with the peanut butter. We like the extra crunchy peanut butter.

Step 2

I used to just slice the banana when I made a peanut butter and banana sandwich but it is much better mashed. Spread the mixture on two slices of bread. Elvis probably used white bread but I love it on honey wheat bread. Add the butter to a grill or skillet and brown sandwich on both sides. I read that Elvis liked bacon on his sandwich at times and, believe me, it is wonderful with bacon, too
