Step 1

Pour the cream into a small pot: Take one small-medium cooking pot and pour 3 cups of heavy cream.

Step 2

Add vanilla bean/extract: Add vanilla bean and a pinch of salt with the cream and stir them with cream.

Step 3

Boil the cream: Turn on the stove and cook the cream over low heat. Cook them for a few minutes, then turn off the stove. Let's sit for a few minutes.

Step 4

Separate egg white and yolk: In a bowl, separate egg yolks and whites. Then add ½ cup sugar with the egg yolk and whisk them until light.

Step 5

Add cream with egg yolk: Now, pour ¼ cream into the mixer and stir them. Then pour this mixture into cream and stir.

Step 6

Place ramekins in a baking dish:  Place 6-ounce ramekins in a baking dish. Then fill up the container with hot water halfway up the sides of the dishes.

Step 7

Bake the crème brulee: Now pour the egg and cream mix inside the ramekins. Place the baking dish inside the oven and bake it for about 30 to 40 minutes. After baking the brulee, set them aside to cool down completely. You can also refrigerate for several hours and up to a few days.

Step 8

Top each custard with sugar: Before serving it, top each with 1 ½ tsp of caster sugar. Set the sugar over the custard surface in a thin layer.

Step 9

Burn the sugar: Now, take one blow torch and burn the layer of the sugar until the sugar melts and turn brown.

Step 10

Serve the brulee: You can do this dessert immediately or within half an hour. If you let them sit out too long, the sugar will melt, and you will not have nice cracks in the sugar. So, enjoy your dessert with family and friends.
