Ingredients: 2 tablespoons chili powder; 4 teaspoons ground cumin; 4 teaspoons garlic powder; 2 teaspoons smoked paprika; 2 teaspoons onion powder; 2 teaspoons cayenne; 2 teaspoons oregano; 2 teaspoons salt; 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

This homemade fajita seasoning is so easy to make, tastes much better than store-bought mixes, and can save you a lot of money!

Fajita Seasoning

garlic powder

smoked paprika

onion powder

cayenne

oregano

salt

black pepper

In a bowl, mix all of the spices together until well combined.

Store seasoning in a sealed jar for up to 1 year.

Great seasoning mix! I used to buy my mix but wanted something healthier. I saved this recipe because it was super and it got many compliments.

Have made this many times it is my go to recipe for seasonings would highly recommend this recipe.

Great flavour! I omitted the cayenne and reduced the chilli powder by half and it was still quite spicy. - Admittedly I don't tolerate spicy too well! I ended up serving something else to the kids due to the heat. I think next time I'll just do 1 teaspoon chilli for a mild, kid friendly meal.

Best fajitas I ever made! The secret is the homemade seasoning! I put in oven on sheet pan and they were awesome. I garnished with guacamole, sour cream, salsa and cilantro and sprinkled lime juice over top! Delicious!

Hi Diana, I made your recipe today and we had chicken quesadillas this evening.
We're in the UK and I have no problems obtaining the ingredients including Mexican Oregano. It was very tasty, but not at all hot, even though I used S17 Cayenne powder and added some fresh Jalapeno's to the quesadillas.
I did make a small change to your recipe, by adding 2 teaspoons of lemon juice powder, to add that zestiness.
I've made a large jar full of the recipe and will definitely be making more, perhaps using Habanero powder next time (we like spicy flavours).

The Fajita recipe is amazing! I've tried many different fajita seasonings and none have come close to this one. It exceeded my expectations, absolutely delicious!

2nd time making this seasoning. I love making this without salt and all of the artificial ingredients you get with the packets at the store. I use it for tacos, burritos and anything else that needs a bit of spice.
