Step 1

I don’t find I need to pre rinse or soak my gammon or ham joint.

Step 2

I also like to remove the rind, leaving a little fat underneath.

For a 750g gammon or ham joint, I place in my air fryer at 180 degrees centigrade for 20 minutes.  Then after 20 Minutes, I turn it over and place back in the air fryer at 180 degrees centigrade for 20 minutes.  If adding a glaze, I remove for the last five minutes, add the glaze and then pop back in the air fryer for five minutes.

Step 4

For a 1.1kg gammon or ham joint, I place in my air fryer at 180 degrees centigrade for 25 minutes.  Then after 25 Minutes, I turn it over and place back in the air fryer at 180 degrees centigrade for 25 minutes.  If adding a glaze, I remove for the last five minutes, add the glaze and then pop back in the air fryer for five minutes.

Step 5

I then place on a plate for five minutes covered in foil.  After five minutes, I take my meat thermometer and make sure it is around 75 degrees centigrade.  This is my preferred temperature,  and each time my ham or gammon has been cooked properly.

Step 6

Carve and serve.
