Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees; grease and flour a standard size bread pan.
Step 2
In a large bowl, whisk together 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour, 1 cup granulated sugar, 1 Tablespoon baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Step 3
In a smaller bowl or cup, whisk together 1 cup milk (any kind) and 1 egg. Stir your milk and egg mixture into your flour mixture until combined.
Step 4
Coarsely chop shelled walnuts until you have 1 cup. Stir the walnuts into the batter and spread it into your prepared pan.
Step 5
Bake for 50 minutes - 1 hour or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Step 6
Allow to cool for a few minutes and then remove from pan and cool completely.
