Great recipe, especially with the added seasoning. Some sliced black olives on the top is yummy as well

Agree with Gold Controller and the comments that this recipe is awesome, but needs a bit more. 

I made sure to squeeze ALL the lemon juice, added a few fresh cloves of garlic, and some dried oregano, subbed dried dill (and added a bit more than the amount called for). 

That was enough to make this a<strong> crowdpleaser</strong>. I served this as one of several dips at a superbowl party, and this was one only one that was finished by the end of the night! So delicious.

I served with pita chips, and people also liked to take tomatoes, cucumbers, yellow peppers and carrots from the veggie tray nearby to eat with this dip, which is a great, more healthy option!

I did not have a hand-mixer, so I used a fork to beat this...it took longer than listed in the recipe, and was a bit more tiring, but still achieved a great, smooth whipped texture as mentioned.

You really need to “jazz” up this recipie in order to get a true authentic taste. In short, SEASON THIS DIP. 

Add some oregano, garlic (powder or cloves), onion (powder or whole red onion), pepper, and maybe a dash of thyme. Use sea salt if you have it on hand. 

If you plan on bringing this dip to some sort of event or pot luck, I suggest reducing the amount of olive oil just incase people are picky about it. Using the full amount gives plenty of the olive oil flavor, but in my experiences, not too many people who don’t cook with it or eat with it on a regular basis aren’t exactly fans of the taste. 

Overall, the recipie is a great base for a refreshing appetizer. But people, please season your food. Greeks enjoy their seasonings and use them generously. And I say that from personal experience.

I added Greek salad dressing mix to spice it up a bit as recommended and it really made a difference!

I made this for my New Years party and it was a BIG HIT! Everyone loved it. I didn’t have lemon and dill, but I added garlic salt with parsley and it was so delicious. Yum! Two thumbs up!

made it as-is tonight (half recipe), and I may add kalamata olives and minced pickled peperoncini peppers, but it’s bright and tasty with the lemon zest.

I added kalamata olives ad garlic powder. It was just ok.
