Preheat your grill to 350℉ to 400℃ (or 180℃ to 200℃).

I add the chicken sausages/brats to the grill (while preheating) and cook until fully cooked (if raw) for about 12-15 minutes. If using precooked brats/sausages, grill until you start to see grill marks about 8 minutes.
Step 3
The last 5 minutes or so I started brushing the chicken brats with barbecue sauce, turning them to get them sticky and caramelized.
Step 4
Remove to a platter to cool for 5 minutes.
Step 5
Serve the sauced brats in a soft hotdog buns with a heaping mound of pickled red onions, a zigzag of spicy brown mustard and pickled jalapeños if desired.
