Preheat the grill to high heat

In a large bowl combine the brown sugar, salt, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, black pepper and the olive oil

Add in chicken thighs and toss until coated

Cover and set aside

Reduce heat on grill to low and add the chicken

Cook undisturbed until slightly charred, about 5 minutes

Flip the chicken over and continue cooking until the other side is charred, about 5 minutes longer

Continue flipping until the chicken reaches 165°F on an instant read thermometer, about 5-7 more minutes
Step 9
Remove from the grill and arrange on a large platter
