Export 7 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Step 2
Combine the cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl. Add the green food coloring and mix well to incorporate it evenly.
Step 3
Set the dough in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix the confectioners sugar and cornstarch in a small bowl.
Step 5
Remove the dough from the refrigerator. Scoop dough into balls and roll them in the confectioners sugar mixture until completely coated.
Step 6
Set the balls on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly press down with the bottom of a glass to make the balls have a flatter surface. (Do not press too hard though).
Step 7
Add the candy heart to the top of the dough.
Step 8
Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes. Do not overbake.
Step 9
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cookies cool on a cooling rack.
Step 10
Serve warm or at room temperature.
