When baked remove from oven glaze with honey using a brush. Enjoy with butter or jam, Baking Tips: After hot cross buns are cooled down put in a container with lid or plastic bag to keep soft, or freeze some to keep fresh longer.Having all ingredients measured and ready to work with. These delicious hot cross buns were known as Easter buns in Newfoundland and we would have these little buns all Easter long but mostly on Easter Monday when we would have our Easter egg hunt and party.
