Step 1

Place rice in a large mesh strainer; rinse under water until water runs clear.

Step 2

Transfer rice to Instant Pot and season with salt.

Step 3

Stir in water.

Step 4

Push down on the rice so it’s covered in liquid.

Step 5

Add butter.

Step 6

Cover with lid and set valve to sealing.

Step 7

Click on “Manual” (or Pressure Cook) and set it to 4 minutes on HIGH Pressure.

Step 8

When time is up, allow a 10 minute natural pressure release.

Step 9

Do a quick release when the 10 minutes is up.

Step 10

When pin drops, carefully remove the lid.

Step 11

Fluff rice with a fork.

Step 12

Serve.
