Step 1
Separate broccoli into florets. Steam for 5-6 minutes, or boil for 2-3 minutes. Don’t overcook.

Meanwhile, prepare a sauce.
Step 3
In a small pot mix cream cheese, heavy cream, 1 cup of grated cheddar cheese, onion powder, salt & pepper.
Step 4
Cook on low heat until cheddar cheese has melted, no need to boil the sauce.
Step 5
Pour the sauce over the broccoli and stir gently to combine.
Step 6
If adding chicken, add it at this point as well.
Step 7
Place into a casserole dish, top with the remaining ½ cup cheddar and almond flakes.
Step 8
Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.
