I made this tonight with almond milk & thick cream. I used vanilla extract & stevia & it was absolutely delicious.

Sure wish I had read the reviews before I made this.  WAY too watery, bitter, not sweet enough.  Added more swerve and a huge dollop of cool whip to the top to make it drinkable.  But then, that defeats the purpose of low carb, doesn't it.  People that used almond milk instead of water and rated it high were not rating this recipe.  I'll try it their way next time.  This recipes should be taken down.  There are no good reviews of it AS WRITTEN.  THE only good reviews were severely doctored.

Pretty good after adjustments. I subbed all the water for unsweetened almond milk, added more heavy cream, added more sugar and finally added a little bit of the no calorie flavored syrups and it was good!

Very watery and bitter.  Added salt to remove bitterness but still watery.

To watery, tasted like flavored water.  I read others Substituted with Almond milk. I'm sure that would have been better. Urgh

Too much water. Very bland. Even after addng a bit more heavy cream, not impressed.

We used 1/2 cup water and 1cup heavy cream, plus we added about 10 grains of salt to reduce bitterness and enhance flavor per cup. Our adjustments created a very delicious cup of cocoa. We will reuse this recipe with adjustments often. We're thinking almond flavoring would allow for variation of flavor profile.

It's super watery. Next time I will half the water and double the cream.

Think I need a sweeter alternative. Its bitter. Otherwise its not bad.

Great call on almond.  Make sure a very small amount less the 1/4 if you add vanilla.

Also the salt was an excellent recommendation to cut that bitterness.

If you are making a full sized cup 2 pinches of salt helps alot and makes it taste like regular hot chocolate.

I used an additional packet of sucralose as it wasn't sweet enough but I topped with whipped cream as suggested, just what I needed!

Doubled the recipe and added more cream delicious
