Step 1
Blend onion ginger, garlic, coriander seeds, cumin, cardamom pods, salt and pepper, in a processor to make a smooth paste.
Step 2
Mix with lamb and allow to marinade for several hours or overnight.
Step 3
Heat oil in large pan, sauté extra onion until soft.
Step 4
Add lamb mixture and stir over medium low heat for about 10 minutes until lamb is browned.
Step 5
Stir in tomato paste and yoghurt.
Step 6
Cook, covered, on very low heat for 2 hours, adding a little water if needed.
